Why have yet another vehicle check app?



At Days Rental, we currently have over 9,000 Vehicles, so for Van hire, or Car hire, then give us a call. This ‘Vehicle Inspection’ app will provide you with a powerful tool and will give you the ability to design your own vehicle checks, design the frequency of the check (setting a ‘must be checked by time’), set up alerts for services, LOLERs and other inspections. It has been designed by us at Days Rental, as we handle multiple vehicle movements daily, as does any other organization that has a Fleet of vehicles. The emphasis is now that the vehicle is safe and fit to drive and where best to get this information than a daily ‘Vehicle Health Check’ that can be accessed easily using the employees own mobile device. The app consists of two parts, the downloadable app giving authorised Drivers, the ability to access their allocated vehicles and a Desktop platform that the Portal Users will control. It features the ability to add multiple Portal users and unlimited Drivers, add vehicles and make your own vehicle health check, that can be made easy with a few questions or more extensive if the vehicle has accessories with the ability for taking photographs to support descriptions– but most important is, that the vehicle is safe to drive for your employees. Employees will be allocated a vehicle, but can also create a vehicle check against another provided it has been loaded into the Portal. If there is no signal, then the check is saved and can be sent once the signal has improved. Each check will be GPS stamped, providing the users mobile has allowed this function.

The purpose initially was to support of own Vehicle Maintenance Service, in being able to offer a full Fleet Managed package, but why keep it to us.

We work closely with the designers so the app will get and receive updates as time goes on, which will further enhance the app. To date, we feel this Daily Vehicle check app has sufficient information and the ability to produce concise reporting that we be of benefit to any company that provides vehicles for its staff and would like to keep an eye on them for damages and defects but assuring at all times the vehicle is road worthy and suitable for the day’s tasks. The Desktop interface has been designed to provide a clear and functional setting, giving access via the side panel to many key features.

Other features include the ability for the drivers to make contact with the office through ‘Whats app’ via the mobile device and linked to a PC in the office.
